For consultants and coaches
Five clients is five sets of commitments competing for one head — and the cost of dropping one is the client.
The context-switching tax
Independent consulting punishes exactly one thing: forgetting something you said you would do. Not slowly, either. A missed deliverable with a client who is paying for your judgement does more damage than a mediocre deliverable delivered on time, because it is evidence about how you operate.
The difficulty is that each engagement has its own world — its own people, its own vocabulary, its own moving deadlines — and they arrive interleaved. The note you took in Tuesday's call contains three commitments to three different clients, and it is sitting in the same document as your own thinking.
Separate worlds, one honest priority list
Workspaces keep engagements genuinely apart. Work created inside a client's workspace belongs to that workspace: switch, and you see that client's projects, commitments and deadlines and nothing else. There is no filtering discipline to maintain and no risk of one client's board showing another's work.
People are the deliberate exception. A contact is one person across your whole account, so a colleague who turns up in two engagements is one human being with one history, not two half-records.
Across all of it, the daily view answers the question that actually matters at 8am — of everything owed to everyone, what should I do first? — and shows its reasoning, so you can override it when you know something it does not.
- A workspace per client or venture, with real separation rather than a tag.
- Commitments extracted from your own messy notes, proposed for review — never invented.
- One cross-engagement view of what is most pressing, with the reason attached.
Start from the notes you already have
Most consultants already have the raw material: call notes, scoping documents, statements of work, a folder per client. Zip the folder and drop it in.
VectorOS reads the documents and proposes the projects, deliverables, deadlines and people it found, each shown with the passage it came from. You confirm what is real. Nothing is written until you do, and what does get written stays linked to the document that produced it.
Where this does not help yet
There is no time tracking, no invoicing, and no client portal — VectorOS will not bill anyone for you. It does not connect to your calendar or email, so meetings and commitments arrive by import, typing, pasting or speaking rather than automatically.
It is a tool for the person doing the work, not a system for running a consultancy with staff. If you need utilisation reports, keep the system you have for that.
See it against your own work

If that is not quite you
- For salespeople — Deals rarely die from a bad pitch. They die from a follow-up that slipped by four days.
- For small-business owners — Quoting, chasing, scheduling and doing the work all land on the same person — you.
